Boxing and MMA Lead talkSPORT
talkSPORT is the worlds biggest sports radio station and a globallyrenowned digital publisher with a social footprint of almost 10M followers.
We are passionate about delivering engaging sports content to fans worldwide across multiple platforms and were looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our boxing and mixed martial arts coverage on talkSPORT.
Your Role: As our Boxing and MMA Lead you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our combat sports content strategy making talkSPORT a goto destination for boxing and MMA fans. Do you have a proven track record of growing digital audiences delivering compelling content and leading a team to success If so we want to hear from you.
Day to day you will:
Write edit and oversee all boxing and MMA editorial output ensuring accuracy engaging storytelling and consistent quality across all published content. Explore emerging combat sports trends and expand coverage into new areas.
Lead mentor and inspire a team of boxing and MMA writers and contributors fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring they produce highquality work that meets deadlines.
Develop and maintain a dynamic editorial calendar ensuring a consistent flow of fresh original content including pre and postfight analysis trend pieces and exclusive features.
Secure exclusive interviews with leading figures in the boxing and MMA world fighters trainers promoters and industry insiders.
Implement engaging multimedia content within articles including graphics and interactive polls to maximise audience interaction.
Take ownership of audience growth and engagement metrics for boxing and MMA content striving to achieve recordbreaking numbers and expand our global reach.
Manage the logistics of live fight coverage including staff assignments accreditation and seamless collaboration with the wider talkSPORT radio team.
Work closely with the programming and social media teams to promote content effectively across all platforms including YouTube and on the radio.
What we are looking for from you:
Proven track record in digital sports journalism.
Passion for boxing and knowledge of MMA.
Experience in leading and motivating a team.
Excellent writing editing and communication skills.
Strong understanding of digital content strategy and audience engagement.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Desire to deliver worldclass multiplatform coverage.
