Job Description

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Barking and Dagenham starting in September 2025. This is a fulltime permanent position where youll have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of Year 5 students helping them to develop essential skills and grow academically and personally in a supportive environment.

Your Role as a Year 5 Teacher

  • Plan prepare and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge Year 5 students in literacy numeracy and beyond.
  • Foster a positive dynamic classroom environment where students feel motivated and excited to learn.
  • Monitor and assess student progress providing constructive feedback and setting clear achievable targets.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to an innovative and engaging curriculum.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and guardians offering updates on student progress and supporting their learning journey.
  • Take part in staff meetings training sessions and school activities contributing to the schools overall success and community.

Who Were Looking For

  • A qualified Year 5 Teacher with a passion for working with Key Stage 2 children.
  • QTS or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and how to deliver it effectively in Year 5.
  • A teacher who is dedicated to creating an inclusive learning environment and building positive relationships with students.
  • Someone who enjoys working collaboratively and is enthusiastic about sharing ideas and best practices.
  • A commitment to professional development and always looking for ways to improve teaching and learning.
