Job Description
Autolivs primary goal is to Save More Lives. Our products never get a second chance. This is why we can never compromise on quality. We are working to increase vehicle safety by developing seatbelts airbags and steering wheels and you can be part of our team as Innovation Project manager Design leader.
The PM/DL will work on the development of new Autoliv electronics & mechatronics products.
The PM will be responsible for identifying and selecting the best technical solutions for a given product (Performance/Cost/Quality... then developing and validating the electronics according to Autoliv standards and processes with internal and external teams and partners supported by a crossfunctional team (HW SW Mechanics Systems Purchasing Dependability etc. that he/she will have to coordinate and lead.
An excellent level of English excellent communication and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this role.
The Project Manager will also act as the teams design leader which involves animating and supporting technical challenges and problemsolving.
The project manager will also be an ambassador for their developing technology to other Autoliv teams external partners or customers as needed.
The project is a complex one with several international stakeholders and development partners.
The PM should be comfortable maneuvering uncertainty and collaborating with several teams on site and remotely.
If you think youll like to manage the following responsibilities at higher standards:
- Manages the development costs quality and planning of the innovation projects assigned to him/her:
- Defines the project development plan in agreement with management & internal clients.
- Support in finding development suppliers.
- Determines resource requirements to complete projects (e.g. workload expertise)
- Manage the development partner and the internal team.
- Prioritizes and coordinates the assignment of tasks to team members.
- Coordinates and leads the crossfunctional project team.
- Supports the development of concepts to achieve project objectives in accordance with Autolivs standard processes and overall goals.
- Supports the validation plan and of the concept.
- Keeps track of the schedule
- Produces him/herself or ensures the teams production of deliverables and documentation.
- Reports regularly on project progress and risk assessment through formal internal reviews.
- Prepares and presents project milestones and various design reviews and tollgates.
- Ensures the successful handover of the project and product to the product lifecycle team.
- Travels regularly mainly to Sweden & Europe to participate in workshops follow up with suppliers etc.

- Synthetic and analytical mind able to keep in mind the big picture and objectives while focusing on details when necessary; problemsolving.
- Curious openminded
- Enthusiastic about new technologies and innovation.
- Excellent communication (French and English) to explain technical concepts to nonexperts.
- Focused on delivery.
- Good knowledge of electronics.
- Good knowledge of automotive product developments.
