The Arches Foundation is currently recruiting for a Service Leader in the South East QLD region
As a Service Leader within The Arches Foundation you will be ensuring the implementation of highquality care support and interventions to clients who are subject to orders or under the Department of Child Safety Seniors and Disability Services in line with The Arches Foundation policies and procedures and legislative requirements. Through creating and maintaining a trauma informed therapeutic approach effective teamwork casework and consistent practices Service Leaders ensure staff are assisting young people families and carers to achieve agreed outcomes and child protection concerns.
The Arches Foundation Service Leader is an integral member of the Leadership Team they provide leadership and work alongside the Executive Leader of Operations to ensure the day to day running of service delivery including reviewing service development/delivery opportunities in collaboration with the Executive Leader of Operations and the General Manager alongside people management in order to meet organisational goals improve organisational performance and promote a professional highfunctioning and collaborative culture.
The Service Leader is responsible for (include but are not limited to)
Work within the principles of the child protection act 1999(QLD) including the best interests of the children.
Use of quality leadership strategies to ensure good practice principles are achieved and service delivery is continuously improving.
Actively attend and participate in relevant sector networking and marketing opportunities as directed by the General Manager.
Manage allocated program resources within scope following policies and procedures all applicable legislative standards.
Supervision and Coaching of directs including on call support.
Play a key role in organisational compliance with systems and operational requirements; case compliance audits case expenditure.
Work as part of the leadership team contributing to the development of programs and regional plans alongside the Executive Leader of Operations and the General Manager.
Actively assess manage and where possible mitigate workplace risk including Occupational Health and Safety consumer related risk reputation risk and personal risk.
Work actively and respectfully as a member of a professional team including in team meetings and professional discussions
Actively demonstrate respect for the knowledge skills and different working styles of others
Have the flexibility to work in a manner which is complementary to other team members.
Have an ability to work sensitively with people from diverse backgrounds including: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders; a variety of other ethnic origins; people from refugee backgrounds.
Key Duties (include but are not limited to)
Promote service delivery and capacity to stakeholders building the Arches Foundation brand and profile
Facilitate collaborative working relationships to assist with high quality service delivery across the organisation
Build key relationships to assist in the strategic goals of the organisation
Review and undertake assessment to identify areas of opportunity for organisational growth and expansion
Provide supervision and on call support to Area Coordinators and Support Facilitators
Promote the Foundation culture fostering teamwork and positive working relationships
Participate in strategic and operational planning with oversight of implementation of actions to achieve objectives
Play a key role in organisational compliance with systems and operations requirements; case compliance audits area budgets and expenditure etc
Provide review and feedback of organisational systems and policy to ensure effectivenessrelevance and streamlining
Facilitate training and promote a culture of continuous learning
Attend stakeholder meetings client meetings/appointments staff meetings monthly to ensure high performance across areas as is required
Attend any necessary training while actively seeking to upskill in relevant industry disciplines
Implement principles and strategies to role model mentor and teach staff and clients skills; maintain client skills through direct contact with client work on a monthly basis.
The Successful applicant will have the following
Minimum of 2 years case management/management experience in child protection or community services.
Tertiary qualifications (or relevant experience) in Social Sciences Social Welfare Psychology Community Services and/or equivalent experience in service delivery
Therapeutic Crisis Intervention or willingness to complete.
Advanced knowledge of the Child Protection sector relevant legislation regulations standards and industry trends
Significant and proven experience in case management of Human Services specifically to those who have complex and challenging behaviours.
Demonstrated effective people leadership including the management of workplace culture performance matters complaints and concerns.
Leadership and management experience including staff supervision staff performance management.
The ability to engage stakeholders in developing and maintaining strong working relationships and strong advocacy for our Young people and families.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to negotiate complex matters and resolve conflict.

A high level of computer literacy and proficiency with SharePoint Microsoft Office Suite and comparable systems
Current Working with Children Blue Card Paid (P)
Current Drivers License Minimum of P2 level
