Job Description

Are you a handson problem solver who takes pride in quality craftsmanship As an OnSite Electrician youll be a part of the success on our job sitereading blueprints running conduit pulling wire and making sure every connection is solid and safe. Youll install and maintain electrical systems troubleshoot issues and ensure everything meets Canadian Electrical Code (CSA C22.1 and local regulations. From power tools to testing equipment youll use the right gear to get the job done efficiently and safely. Teamwork is key so youll work alongside other trades to drive projects to completion. Position Title: Electrician
Location: Swift Current Moose Jaw or Regina SK
Job Type: Fulltime Permanent

GENERAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for completing tasks related to the installation energization and maintenance of cathodic protection systems
  • Complete tasks relating to field and installation of AC mitigation projects
  • Responsible for the maintenance and operational function of assigned vehicles tools and equipment
  • Coordinate and complete the specific project task objectives
  • Infield training and development of other junior project team members
  • Ensure profitable delivery of Corrosion Services and products and services in field
  • Actively participate in HSE procedures and policies
  • Provide onsite technical advice to team personnel as required
  • DC/AC cable terminations within rectifiers negative drain panel junction boxes remote monitoring unit enclosures AC panels etc
  • Remote monitoring unit work including installation wiring and verification checks etc
  • Pulling permits from applicable provincial authorities within Saskatchewan/Manitoba
  • Assisting in construction of new concrete pads for electrical stands
  • Cable routing within trenches/excavations/conduits etc
  • Assisting in installation of anodes calcined coke breeze cabling vent piping etc
  • Splicing of cables of various sizes inclusive of repairing insultation with Raychem splice kits and/or other splicing materials
  • Spotting of misc. heavyduty equipment
  • Material procurement from local electrical suppliers for any required specialty items not already on hand within the project stocked items
  • Available to work shift work including 17 days on / 4 days off AND 11 days on / 3 days off

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Journeyman Electrician with 2 Years of Industrial Experience
  • Technical electrical background with good problemsolving abilities
  • Cathodic Protection experience considered an asset
  • General understanding of electrical circuits and theory required with solid handson technical capabilities
  • Ability to work both on selfdriven and team projects
  • Willing to travel & work overtime as required
  • Selfstarter; adaptable to constructionlike projects and tasks
