Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Civil Estimator to manage cost estimation and bid preparation for infrastructure projects including bridge works drainage and FRP construction. The role involves reviewing project specifications conducting material takeoffs and ensuring compliance with industry standards including TMR (QLD) regulations. This role is critical for ensuring accurate cost assessments and project feasibility in largescale civil engineering projects.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for infrastructure projects including bridge works and drainage.
- Conduct material takeoffs and assess labour equipment and subcontractor costs.
- Analyse engineering drawings and project specifications to ensure compliance with TMR (QLD) regulations.
- Develop and maintain cost databases for accurate pricing and forecasting.
- Identify costsaving opportunities and assess project risks.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to refine estimates and scope.
- Review supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
Requirements
Requirements/Skills needed:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in civil estimation infrastructure projects or related experience.
- Proficiency in estimation software such as Cubit CostX or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of FRP drainage systems and bridge construction.
- Familiarity with TMR (QLD) standards and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
Additional Job Details:
- Setup and Location: WFH/Remote (but may require occasional onsite presence depending on the situation)
- Work Schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (AEST) 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (PH Time)
- Employment Type: Fulltime
