Job Description

Summary:

Uganda s leading digital jobmatching platform and career services company BrighterMonday Uganda has designed a youth skilling and employment impact project to improve employability of Ugandan youth and transition them into dignified employment. To support this goal we seek a Research Associate who will be responsible for gathering analyzing and interpreting data to inform marketing product and business intelligence strategies. You will work closely with key stakeholders across departments to provide actionable insights that drive growth and innovation within the company

Brief Job Summary:
Your mission will be responsible for gathering analyzing and interpreting data to inform marketing product and business intelligence strategies.

Key Duties & Job Responsibilities
  • Investigate market activity track industry trends and assess the competitive landscape.
  • Gather and analyse published data employment trends and statistics to derive insights relevant to job seekers and employers.
  • Evaluate past performance of products services and marketing campaigns and recommend databacked improvements.
  • Assess future employment trends skills demand and hiring patterns to inform business and product strategy.
  • Design commission and manage surveys targeting job seekers employers and industry stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and publish periodical research reports and whitepapers providing thought leadership in the recruitment and HR space.
  • Work closely with marketing product and business intelligence teams to support their data needs.
  • Develop and present clear actionable reports and dashboards to support decisionmaking.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand job seeker and employer behaviours motivations and pain points.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market positioning to identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Stay informed on labour laws economic shifts and government policies that impact recruitment and employment trends.

Requirements

Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Marketing Economics Business Statistics Data Science or a related field.

Years of Experience:
2 years strategy experience

Skills required to perform the Job:
  • Strong knowledge of statistics data interpretation and market research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel Google Analytics Power BI or similar.
  • Experience in designing surveys and conducting both qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Understanding of consumer psychology and behavioural science for qualitative research.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex data clearly.
  • Highly methodical and organised with strong problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to understand business needs and provide commercially viable insights.
  • Ability to take responsibility work independently and thrive under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
  • Confidence in engaging with diverse stakeholders across different levels and departments.
