Job Description
As a Developer working closely with Data Insights team you will support the growth initiatives of the business by directly owning the development implementation customization and maintenance of new and existing data products. Your drive for continual innovation and evolution will be key to your success. This role resides within the global consulting organization with the objective to deliver data insights and recommendations to our clients to clients to optimize travel costs and manage global corporate travel programs.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement new data products
Maintain and improve the performance of existing scorecards and suite of products
Lead or assist in building new models and products to anticipate future clients needs
Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
Test and maintain data products to ensure strong functionality and optimization
Explore recommend improvements to existing products and processes
Develop and optimize algorithms to reflect business logic and analytical methodologies
Structure and share knowledge via necessary documentation
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail and very strong problem solving skills
Ability to think creatively and proactively
Team player ability to build strong relationships with peers and other coworkers across geographies
Time management and multitasking skills allowing for multiple projects being worked at the same time
Comfortable with communicating to various levels in the organization including Directors and above Managers and external parties
Strong capacity to capture business needs and translate them into technical design and development requirements
Technical Skills
Must know Microsoft Office (Outlook Word PowerPoint etc) and in particular advanced skills in Excel; knowledge of Access VBA and PowerQuery
Knowledge of Hadoopbased big data ecosystem is a plus
Must master at least one relational database technology and its query language: Oracle SQL Plus Postgres Hive Impala or other
Knowledge at least one programming language; knowledge of web application framework (e.g. R / Shiny or Python/ Django) a plus
Skills in UI design data visualization (R Python Tableau Cognos PowerBI etc) or frontend development (HTML CSS JavaScript) is a plus
Knowledge of version management tools (e.g. Git) and Linux shell commands is a plus
Education
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology Business Analytics or related field of study
Master Degree is a plus
35 years relative experience in data analysis and reporting data product development or other data and technology fields
