PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for management of the General Ledger system for GROWMARK and certain retail/subsidiary business units and the reporting of GROWMARK consolidated financial results.

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHP

Supervises leads and develops the staff accountants responsible for general ledger system control and analysis overhead allocations lease accounting and fixed asset maintenance and accounting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Manages the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements for GROWMARK and its retail/subsidiary business units.

Responsible for the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual consolidated financial reports and special bank group financial statements.

Manages and utilizes the SAP BPC and SAC software tools including security management skill cross training and support in increasing the effective use of the software tools.

Responsible for the administration of the General Ledger system including report writing interface management and chart of accounts management for GROWMARK and consolidated entities.

Provides guidance to subsidiary and retail division controllers regarding information required for consolidated financial statements.

Manages the integration of financial information from subsidiaries and retail divisions for preparation of consolidated financial reports.

Manages and documents the various consolidation processes required to prepare GROWMARK consolidated financial statements including identification of all eliminating entries.

Directs information exchange with the Tax Department related to GROWMARK corporate fixed asset overhead and other accounting transactions.

Assists in managing the compilation of information from the different companies of the consolidated group for developing certain GAAP consolidated footnotes.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Provides recommendations relating to approved accounting policies and maintains strong internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance with GAAP.

Assists in the coordination of annual audits.

Responsible for encouraging supporting and promoting innovative practices ideas and technologies within the team.

Follows GROWMARKs Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program Environmental Health and Safety OSHA and DOT policies and procedures as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a college degree in accounting finance business administration or the equivalent thereof and 6 8 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate the ability to provide general ledger and fixed asset accounting leadership to the GROWMARK System.

Prefer a CPA or MBA degree to demonstrate advanced accounting/business knowledge.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge collaboration communication customer focus decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.

Understanding and experience with accountingrelated areas including overhead general ledger fixed assets financial statements systems and software security management technical support internal controls audit strategy policies and procedures and compliance along with general ledger planning program budgeting and communications.

Proven supervisory and leadership skills including staffing coaching and performance evaluation and the ability to achieve results through others.

Proven professional communication interpersonal persuasion and customer service skills.

Demonstrated planning organization problemsolving and project management skills.

Proven teambuilding skills and the ability to work independently and in a teamoriented environment.

Proven computer skills including spreadsheet database and query tools; the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes; and the ability to learn accountingrelated software.

May be required to work hours beyond what is considered normal.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARKs policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
