Job Description

At NEXTDC we are committed to innovation efficiency and excellence. We are seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist based in Petaling Jaya to play a vital role in managing and leveraging our knowledge assets ensuring valuable information is accessible shared and utilised across the organisation. 

What will you do: 

Knowledge Management 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive knowledge management strategy to ensure efficient access to critical information 
  • Identify capture and document best practices lessons learned and other valuable organisational knowledge 
  • Develop and maintain a userfriendly knowledge base or repository system 
  • Create and curate content (e.g. documents articles videos) to facilitate knowledge sharing across the organisation 
  • Analyse user needs and usage data to improve the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives continuously 
  • Support developing and delivering training programs related to knowledge management best practices 

Policy & Procedure Management 

  • Manage and maintain the centralised hub (intranet) for all company policies and procedures 
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are uptodate accurate and accessible to all employees 
  • Develop and implement a system for regularly reviewing and revising policies and procedures 
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across NEXTDC to develop new policies and procedures as needed 
  • Responsible for the rationalisation & consolidation of existing documents processes and procedures 

Standardisation & Metadata 

  • Standardise document templates and ensure consistency in formatting and style 
  • Develop and implement metadata standards for all organisational knowledge assets across the business 
  • Support the business by guiding knowledge management best practices 

What will you need: 

  • Fluency in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Understanding of search engine optimisation (SEO) principles or similar technical capabilities 
  • Experience with policy and procedure management 
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and knowledge base platforms (desirable) 
  • Experience with metadata creation and management 
  • Ability to articulate concepts and ideas clearly in documentation and to stakeholders at all levels 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Possessing excellent writing editing and proofreading skills along with strong analytical problemsolving and organizational abilities. 
  • Knowledge of operational ISO standards (i.e. ISO 27001/9001/45001/14001 etc. is an added advantage 

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in information science Library Science Business Administration or a related field 
  • Minimum two years of experience in knowledge management or a related field
