Job Description
Teach facetoface beginning to advanced sewing clothing construction classes and the use of sewing machines to adult learners with various levels of experience. Communicate information and instructions with clarity and patience. Select projects appropriate to the students skill level.
Duties
Develop lesson plans. Organize the lab and keep machines in good working order. Teach all aspects of clothing constructions and select patterns appropriate for all students. Be flexible to the needs of the students.
Minimum Requirements
1. Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in all aspects of sewing and clothing constructions; 2. Two years teaching experience in teaching sewing in a high school college or professional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelors Degree in Home Economics or Fiber Arts. 2. Knowledge of Bernina Sewing Machines. 3. Ability to clean and service sewing machines.
