Job Description Summary
The Wellness and Recreation team manages multiple fitness and recreation facilities and coordinates a variety of on and offcampus recreation and wellbeing education programming. Along with professional staff and graduate assistants the Wellbeing Programming Assistant is responsible for supporting services resources and programs related to holistic wellbeing education for students. All Wellbeing Programming Assistants are members of the Department of Student Engagement and the Division of Student Affairs.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities Wellness Assist with the development and implementation of inperson outreach and educational events related to a variety of wellbeing topics including but not limited to stress management emotional intelligence physical activity nutrition mindfulness sleep and growth mindset. Assist with the development and implementation of inperson outreach and educational events related to a variety of wellbeing topics including but not limited to stress management emotional intelligence physical activity nutrition mindfulness sleep and growth mindset. Help the Wellbeing Programming Assistant team research plan develop and implement campuswide awareness and education passive campaigns through print social media and other means of communication. Staff tabling events throughout the year to promote awareness of healthy behaviors. Conduct outreach to all students to create opportunities for education and collaboration. Act as a role model and positive voice on campus in promoting greater healthconscious attitudes and challenging campus social norms where appropriate. Assist with program assessment including contributing to the development of an endofyear report. Assist with administrative work including data management as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
