Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of: Dental school educational processes. Periodontal information and techniques taught within the Department. Ability to: Communicate effectively with a diverse population of patients students staff faculty and administration. Work independently with minimal supervision. Work effectively in a group setting. Maintain confidentiality of information. Demonstrate professional judgment in all situations. Education: DDS / DMD or international equivalent completion of training from an Accredited Dental School program. Certificate of Proficiency in Periodontics with teaching experience. Valid CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience: Two years of previous teaching and practice experience is preferred. Other: Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice equity and inclusion in a university setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
