The Civil Design Engineer will be responsible for creating grading models staking plans and landscaping plans based on value engineering and compliance with industry standards as well as customer specifications. The role will require a strong understanding of the civil and mechanical considerations of PV systems. Highlevel project management and communication skills will be valuable to ensure a quality project is delivered on time and on budget.
Qualifications:
- Educational background or industry experience in civil or mechanical engineering.
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience preferred; CAD expertise required.
- Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Interest in sustainability and solar energy.
- High level of attention to detail time management and organization.
- Good communication skills.
- Proven experience with multidisciplinary engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the design of PV systems and produce constructionquality drawings (physical layout civil design installation details etc..
- Utilize Civil 3D software to create functional and efficient grading models for PV systems.
- Create staking plans for surveyors to mark important civil and electrical layout features to communicate design to onsite installers.
- Conduct onsite evaluations of civil work to assess progress quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Prepare tree clearing and grubbing plans to ensure efficient site preparation.
- Review thirdparty civil engineering documents for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Create and improve existing optimization tools to assist system design.
- Collaborate with internal teamsincluding project managers engineers and construction personnelto ensure seamless project .
- Stay updated on industry best practices regulations and advancements in civil engineering technology.
