What will you be doing
The Business Analyst will help the Product team codify business requirements for building various Products
Job Responsibilities
The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in transforming the CPG General Merchandise (GM) Media and Retail industry and how these verticals conduct analytics and generate insights to deliver optimized experiences and personalized value to their shoppers. Delivering simple easytouse measurement solutions like Marketing Mix in Store testing will be central to how these verticals embed data into their daytoday decisionmaking. This role will be responsible for helping Circana develop a portfolio of solutions to help our CPG GM Media and Retail clients achieve these objectives.
The successful candidate will be a highly skilled Business Analyst who is comfortable working in a startup like environment where speedtomarket must be achieved in tandem with gamechanging innovation. She/he will be experienced in driving complex multifaceted solutions across the vast landscape of Retail and Media channels leveraging diverse crossfunctional teams including Technology Product Marketing Sales and HR. She/he will be responsible for documenting and constantly improving Circanas standardized collaborative insight solution across new markets; demonstrating expertlevel written and spoken articulation of the business ideas systems processes steps wireframes and testcriteria into comprehensive technical requirements that enable our developers to successfully build new solutions. While activities will vary and evolve the Business Analyst can expect to spend 80 of their time building the requirements associated with the CPG GM Media and Retail solutions. The remaining 20 will be allocated to assisting the Product teams in developing and delivering impactful project communication that will be used to inform the Senior Leadership team as well as all key stakeholders up to the level of CEO.
Requirements
- Six or more years of SaaS solution requirements development experience in one or more of the settings below:
- Retail insight solution & data experience (Grocery Drug Mass Club etc.
- Market research supplier with a defined software offering
- SaaS solution company (retailoriented software company preferred)
- CPG (e.g. Unilever Danone Clorox etc)
- Expert requirements documentation organization and explanation skills required
- Business Analysis Certification highly preferred (i.e. IIBA CBDA CPOA etc.
- Knowledge of Data & Database Management concepts (i.e. MongoDB PostgreSQL etc.
- Knowledge of BPA & ETL concepts (i.e. AbInitio Apache Airflow etc.
- A flexible approach to communication; able to adapt their message quickly to the appropriate level or function with poise and polish. A history of strong performance at the Clevel is a plus
- Selfmotivated; a healthy sense of impatience; startuplevel urgency
- Proven skills to thrive and drive project results in an ambiguous and fastpaced environment; comfort/confidence making decisions with 70 of the facts inhand
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical issues in a concise and polished manner to a diverse audience
- Ideally reside in or be willing to relocate to Chicago Illinois or vicinity
- Experience with client facing projects
- A Bachelors degree from an accredited institution. An advanced degree is a plus

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employees position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements sales or revenuebased metrics any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $120K to $150K.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
