Job Description

Job Description Summary
Provide Clinical Chemistry instruction to first year Medical Laboratory Technology students in the classroom and practice lab.

Duties
Instruct MLT 130: Clinical Chemistry course to the first year Medical Laboratory Technology students. Supervise students in classroom and practice lab environment. Develop teaching materials activities and handouts for the course. Participate in assessment planning implementation and evaluation activities to improve the instructional quality of the course. Maintain professional certification and seek opportunities for professional development. Perform duties assigned by the Department Chair.

Minimum Requirements
1. Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science. 2. ASCP Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. 3. 1 year clinical experience in a lab. 4. Be in the process of obtaining your MLS ASCP within 3 months of hire date.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Teaching or Teaching Assistant experience at a college level. 2. ASCP Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist 2. Masters degree in Chemistry
