Action Day offers a variety of extracurricular activities within our regular program including Spanish Dance PE daily electives an allinclusive sports program and LifeSkill education. Students at Action Day Elementary and Middle Schools have access to the latest in technology including Apple TVs and an iPad for every student. All students are warmly accepted and guided along their educational path throughout our program. Bullying and slipping through the cracks simply do not happen at our school due to our small familylike atmosphere. Students are held to high standards while enjoying school. As a result our 8thgrade graduates go on to schools such as Archbishop Mitty St. Francis Notre Dame Bellarmine and many others!
Position Available: Elementary and Middle School Substitute Teacher
Compensation: $32.00 $33.50/hr. depending on individual experience education and position requirements.
As a Substitute Teacher you will collaborate with teachers to create lesson plans and integrate the core curriculum into classroom projects. As you guide our students through our exciting curriculum daily you will have the opportunity to monitor document and assess student progress maintain close communication with the principal and parents regarding student issues and conduct parentteacher conferencing.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate will come to us with:
- 35 years of teaching experience
- Bachelors degree in Education or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships and offer exceptional customer service
- Alignment with our core values especially positive discipline and restorative practices as well as a sense of fun
- A demonstrated hardworking flexible attitude and ability to manage a complex workload prioritize tasks and use good judgment in providing services based on goals
- A mindset of continuous Professional Learning and improvement
