The Role

Reporting to the Manager Materials Planning the Materials Planner based in Toronto will be responsible for material requirements planning for multiple facilities to meet short and longterm production plans of White Claw and other RTD products. The Materials Planner will develop and maintain the optimized material planning forecast network and processes. This role will build a strong relationship with suppliers of RTD component materials which may include packaging bulk alcohol flavours concentrates and more.

Materials Planning:

  • Collaborate with suppliers and copackers to ensure timely ordering delivery and availability of materials for production.
  • Minimize excess inventory and writeoffs during graphic transitions or product discontinuations by developing costbenefit analyses and strategic action plans.
  • Monitor inventory levels and production plans across the supplier and comanufacturer network to manage obsolete materials.
  • Develop and maintain Excelbased tools and models to support brand renovations and supply chain efficiency.
  • Serve as the single point of contact between suppliers and copackers proactively addressing shortages transportation delays and production changes to prevent downtime.
  • Collaborate with the Product Development Team to ensure new mixing instructions are correctly set up in systems and communicated to stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update data in the ERP system as required.
  • Import & Export knowledge.

Procurement:

  • Lead procurement activities for assigned commodities including packaging materials and ingredients.
  • Support the new supplier setup process ensuring all documentation quality and compliance requirements are met before onboarding.
  • Analyze data to develop accurate materials forecast to be shared with supplier.
  • Act as a pillar support for costing ensuring accurate cost data is available for P&L development and financial planning.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to optimize cost quality and service levels for Supplier Performance Review.
  • Work closely with Product Development and CoPackers to ensure all suppliers are approved before material delivery.

Innovation Costing & Master Data Management:

  • Support new product launches and renovations by ensuring material availability supplier alignment and procurement strategies.
  • Evaluate and implement innovative sourcing strategies to improve cost efficiency and supplier performance.
  • Maintain and update master data related to materials and suppliers in ERP and other systems.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data to support decisionmaking and reporting.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum of 2 years of materials planning experience in a multiplant network

  • Prior CPG or Beverage Industry experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Commerce; Supply Chain specialization preferred

  • Materials planning experience

  • Experience managing suppliers

  • Prior experience in Inventory Planning Processes

  • Highly proficient in Excel

  • Understanding of ERP functionality

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to work across functions business units and geographies

  • Problem solver with a bias towards action and an ownership mindset

  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others in a diverse environment

  • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
