Job Description
Athletic Summer Day Camp Counselor
The College Athletic Department is hiring energetic positive and professional individuals for the 2025 summer season. We have opportunities for both our AllSports Camp day staff and sportspecific camps (including Womens Basketball Mens Basketball Volleyball Football Soccer etc.. We are looking for team members with a passion for working with children of all ages. Please note that for sportspecific camps basic playing experience is required.
Compensation:
- Hourly wage: $12.00 $16.00 based on position qualifications and experience
Application Period:
- Applications will be accepted from the Spring through the Summer
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure direct supervision and maintain a safe environment
- Actively engage in games sports and outdoor activities
- Foster a positive and supportive environment
- Communicate effectively with attendees parents and fellow staff
Required Skills:
- Exceptional customer service with a can do attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including active listening
- Excellent interpersonal and teambuilding abilities
- Adaptability in a dynamic fastpaced teamoriented setting
- Effective problemsolving skills and flexibility to handle lastminute changes
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age by May 1 2025
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current CPR First Aid or AED certification
- Availability to work at least 34 weeks of 40 hours

- Demonstrated ethical and responsible decisionmaking
- Consistent attendance and accountability to meet position objectives
Additional Information:
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States as visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
- Upon a conditional offer of employment successful completion of a background check is required.
