Job Description
At Wolverine Trading were looking for a LowLevel C Performance Engineer to work at the intersection of hardware and software. Your focus will be on improving the performance of our critical and ultralow latency trading systems working on all parts of the trading systems stack.
What Youll Do:
- Develop and improve performancecritical C applications ensuring ultralow latency and high throughput
- Collaborate with FPGA engineers hardware specialists and systems teams to push performance boundaries
- Analyze and resolve realtime system issues improving the reliability and stability of our trading platforms
- Build tools to monitor profile and analyze the performance of systems at every level
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years of professional C experience with a focus on highperformance applications
- Strong grasp of data structures algorithms and modern C practices (C17/20
- Experience and aptitude in multithreaded programming and performance tuning
- Ability to analyze experimental results and optimize system performance
- Effective communication skills with the ability to effectively engage both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Most importantly: a drive to make things better

The total compensation range for this role is approximately $140000$200000 contingent on experience. Wolverine Tradings total compensation model includes base salary and an annual discretionary bonus.
