Job Description

Join a school in Ealing with a strong performing arts department as a Music Teacher from September 2025. This is an opportunity to inspire a love of music and develop musical talent among students across Key Stages 35 fostering creativity and performance skills within a supportive and wellresourced environment.

About Our Learning Community:

We are a school committed to providing a rich and diverse performing arts program encouraging students to explore their musical potential and develop their performance skills. Our Music department boasts a dedicated team of specialist teachers and excellent facilities.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Music lessons across Key Stages 35 following exam specifications and incorporating a wide range of musical genres and styles.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that foster musical performance composition and appreciation skills utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources including instrumental instruction vocal training and music technology.
  • Assess student progress through performances compositions and written work providing detailed feedback to support their development.
  • Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum integrating current musical trends and performance techniques and participate in departmental planning.
  • Organize and lead musical performances concerts and extracurricular music activities such as choirs bands and instrumental ensembles promoting student engagement and artistic expression.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Music subject knowledge including performance composition and music theory.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Music to ALevel with a focus on both practical skills and theoretical understanding.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and musical skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to fostering creativity and artistic expression within a performing artsfocused environment.
