About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Music lessons across Key Stages 35 following exam specifications and incorporating a wide range of musical genres and styles.
- Plan and deliver lessons that foster musical performance composition and appreciation skills utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources including instrumental instruction vocal training and music technology.
- Assess student progress through performances compositions and written work providing detailed feedback to support their development.
- Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum integrating current musical trends and performance techniques and participate in departmental planning.
- Organize and lead musical performances concerts and extracurricular music activities such as choirs bands and instrumental ensembles promoting student engagement and artistic expression.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Music subject knowledge including performance composition and music theory.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Music to ALevel with a focus on both practical skills and theoretical understanding.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and musical skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to fostering creativity and artistic expression within a performing artsfocused environment.
