About the Design & Technology Teacher Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Design & Technology Teacher to join our successful department. The successful candidate will teach Design & Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4 with a focus on inspiring students through engaging lessons and practical learning.
Responsibilities of the Design & Technology Teacher:
- Plan and deliver challenging creative and handson Design & Technology lessons that inspire and engage students.
- Assess student progress providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Contribute to the development of the Design & Technology curriculum ensuring it remains relevant and uptodate.
- Create a positive inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in extracurricular activities related to Design & Technology including clubs and workshops.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE QTS).
- A degree in Design & Technology or a related field.
- Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level ideally including practical applications.
- A strong understanding of the UK curriculum and exam specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
