Key Responsibilities for Psychiatric LVNs

• Deliver expert psychiatric nursing care in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by healthcare providers maintaining meticulous records.
• Conduct regular assessments and accurately document patients mental health status.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and care techniques to promote understanding and support.
• Maintain accurate patient records through Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

Work Environment and Schedule

Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No weekend or night shifts required promoting a balanced worklife schedule.

Core Qualifications for Psychiatric LVNs

• Valid LVN license in the state of Texas.
• Valid copies ofVaricella MMR TDap TB HepB Current Physical andFlu
• Current certification in AHA BLS or ARC ALS or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a mental health or psychiatric setting.
• Proficiency in utilizing EMR systems for accurate patient documentation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills emphasizing empathy and patient care.
• Dedication to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence.
