Job Title: Contracts Specialist

About the Role
The Contracts Specialist serves as a business advisor providing critical guidance on contractual regulatory and legal matters throughout the proposal and contract process. This role ensures compliance with company policies customer requirements and government regulations while mitigating risk and supporting business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze contract solicitation terms ensuring alignment with company policies and business strategy.
- Lead proposal preparation contract negotiations and award confirmations ensuring favorable terms for the company.
- Interpret contract guidelines identify risks and areas of concern and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Prepare negotiate review and execute contracts including pricing terms and special provisions.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and other government contracting requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external customers ensuring clear communication of contractual obligations.
- Support contract performance management ensuring compliance with contractual terms and company policies.
- Assist in the development of contract management processes and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Must be a U.S. Person (due to regulatory requirements).
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- Strong problemsolving and project management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks of varying priority and complexity.
Preferred:
- Experience in DoD and NonDoD contracting.
- Knowledge of FAR DFARS and proposal experience across all contract types.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and build strong business relationships.
