Job Description

A leading company in the financial services sector is seeking a Head of Financial Accounting to oversee financial administration ensuring accuracy transparency and compliance with financial reporting standards. This role is crucial in managing financial processes regulatory reporting and internal controls while leading a highly skilled international team.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

Lead and develop a team of 6 financial accountants and controllers.

Financial Accounting & Operations

Oversee daily accounting activities for multiple entities.

Implement shared service center agreements.

Manage bank funding processes and financial systems.

Supervise purchase invoicing approval and intercompany eliminations.

Financial Reporting

Ensure compliance in financial statements across multiple legal entities.

Oversee financial consolidation and group reporting.

Prepare and monitor reporting to one of the major schemes

Conduct financial analysis and manage the monthend closing process.

Lead the external audit process and manage relationships with auditors and service providers.

Regulatory & Prudential Reporting

Prepare regulatory reports for the Dutch Central Bank.

Safeguard client funds and ensure compliance with custody agreements and financial regulations.

Tax Compliance

Oversee tax returns compliance and transfer pricing agreements.

Manage relationships with tax advisors and supervise tax filings across international entities.

Treasury & Cash Management

Oversee cash flow management and daily liquidity operations.

Ensure control over payments and reconciliations to a major Scheme

Develop and enforce treasury policies.

Support the setup of new entities across Europe.

Manage banking relationships and client fund safeguarding.

Internal Controls & Compliance

Develop and implement internal control frameworks to enhance financial governance.

Product & Process Optimization

Collaborate with the product team to navigate financial processes for product changes.

Drive automation of core financial processes.

Requirements

University degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of finance experience including leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations reporting standards and VAT.
Excellent analytical strategic and datadriven mindset.
Strong leadership communication and problemsolving skills.
