PreContract Stage:
1. Review and analyze project documentation including drawings specifications and bills of quantities.
2. Prepare and submit tenders including competitive price comparison
3. Interaction with Vendors / Contractors / Client
PostContract Stage:
1. Prepare and submit valuation certificates payment certificates and final settlements.
2. Coordinate with Project Coordinator & Design Engineer to monitor progress identify potential issues and
ensure compliance with contract requirements.
Commercial Management:
1. Negotiate and agree on contract terms including prices payment terms and delivery schedules.
2. Manage and administer contract documentation including contract awards variations and amendments.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Stay uptodate with industry developments including changes to legislation regulations and standards.
2. Participate in project meetings including progress meetings coordination meetings and stakeholder
meetings.
3. Prepare and submit reports including project reports cost reports and progress reports.
4. Collaborate with other professionals including architects engineers and project managers.
Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Certification in Quantity Surveying or Contract Management (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying for electrical projects.
- Experience in both precontract and postcontract stages of projects.
- Exposure to commercial management and contract administration.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cost estimation tender preparation and contract negotiation.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems drawings and specifications.
- Expertise in BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation and analysis.
- Handson experience in valuation certificates payment certificates and final settlements.
- Knowledge of project management software and estimation tools.
- Familiarity with local and international construction standards and regulations.
Soft Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to collaborate with vendors contractors clients and internal teams.
- Detailoriented with strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Adaptability to evolving industry regulations and compliance requirements.
