Job Description

Job Title: Locum Community Physiotherapist
Band: 5
Rate: 1922 per hour
Location: Sutton
Working Hours: 3 days/21.5 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP with potential extension until March 2025 pending approval

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Community Physiotherapist to join the Respiratory team in Sutton. The role involves working with patients with longterm respiratory conditions providing therapeutic assessments and delivering individualized treatment programs within the community setting. As part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) you will work independently during community visits and be responsible for managing your own caseload. This position requires experience in respiratory and pulmonary rehabilitation and a commitment to delivering highquality care to patients in a variety of communitybased settings.

Responsibilities:
As a Locum Community Physiotherapist you will provide highquality physiotherapy interventions within the community respiratory service working in a range of clinical settings such as community centers and health centers. You will be responsible for conducting assessments delivering therapeutic interventions and supporting the pulmonary rehabilitation program under the guidance of senior therapists. Your role will also involve delivering patient education talks participating in audits and research and making recommendations to improve clinical practice. You will work autonomously managing your caseload with supervision provided through case reviews and peer review. The position requires regular travel within the borough and the ability to work independently in the community.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
  • Experience in pulmonary rehabilitation and respiratory physiotherapy
  • Previous NHS experience including graduate/undergraduate placements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the MDT
  • Strong communication skills with patients carers and the multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and outcome measures
  • Ability to work unsupervised during community visits
  • Car driver essential
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout the Borough
  • Experience in evidencebased audits and contributing to service improvements
  • Flexibility to work 5 days over a 7day working week as the service demands
