Job Description
Primary Purpose
The Parttime Instructor provides instruction in Dental Assisting directs student discussion and evaluates student performance in the classroom. The individual holding this position will provide instruction in the Dental Assisting in accordance with the Commission on Dental Accreditation CODA requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting Program. 35 years of general dental assisting experience. Necessary Special Requirements: Current CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) certification from DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) Current Oregon Board of Dentistry Radiology Certification Current Oregon Board of Dentistry EFDA (Expanded Functions Dental Assistant) certification. Certifications: Current CPR certification. Current Immunizations as required by the Dental Assisting Program.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree. Teaching aspects of dental assisting in a DA Program or dental office.
