Job Description

As a Sales Manager you will be responsible for building the sales team and managing existing client relationships. The territory for sales will cover the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). You will lead manage oversee performance implement sales strategies and KPIs and work closely with and support the sales team. This role is a new and additional sales management position created due to growth and you will report to the companys president. This position provides a base salary of $70000 $80000 plus bonuses/commissions.

The radio station was established to address the growing need for media that catered to Torontos increasingly diverse population. As Toronto became a hub for immigrants from around the world there was a demand for radio programming that reflected the languages cultures and interests of these communities. The radio station has always been deeply embedded in the communities it serves. The station has collaborated with local organizations cultural groups and community leaders to address issues relevant to its listeners such as immigration settlement and cultural integration. This communityfocused approach has made the company a trusted source of information and entertainment for Torontos diverse population. This radio station has been the Punjabi version of Torontos dominant South Asian radio station since December 2008. It is a radio station dedicated to broadcasting the biggest Punjabi hits from India the UK and Canada. At 50000 watts they are one of Canadas most powerful radio stations with a clear signal not only in the GTA and Hamilton areas but also in KitchenerWaterlooCambridge Woodstock Barrie Oshawa and beyond. Their aim is to be the goto media for music news and information for the South Asian community of Southern Ontario.It signals the beginning of a positive change in Canadas ethnic broadcasting landscape.

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:

  • Head Office Etobicoke Ontario
  • Work from the office five days a week when not in the field working with your sales team.
  • The sales territory is the Greater Toronto Area
  • Fulltime Monday to Friday

EXPERIENCE BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience selling Media ads with Radio Broadcasting Print Newspaper or similar would be considered a strong plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales management experience preferably in media
  • Familiarity with the South Asian culture is beneficial and being able to speak Punjabi would be a considered a plus

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES:

Sales Leadership

  • Develop and implement a sales plan that will meet revenue growth goals.
  • Manage recruit train and develop a highperforming sales team including setting sales targets andcommission plans.
  • Develop brand awareness and build relationships with local businesses organizations and agenciesin the communities served.
  • Attend highprofile account presentations such as National accounts
  • Providing coaching and leadership to the sales team
  • Manage pricing and sales planning.

Marketing

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of a digital strategy to create and maintain an effectiverevenuegenerating web and social media presence. Inhouse Social Media developer available.
