Job Description
Introduction
Church Mutual Insurance Company has an opening in Merrill Wisconsin for an Advisory Data Modeler position
What youll be doing:
Provide design and implementation of data model solutions using relational and dimensional databases to translate business needs into longterm solution data models that are easily used by end users for reporting and analytics. Create visual representations of information systems to communicate connections between data points and structures. Create and maintain conceptual/logical and physical data models along with accurate metadata to identify key business entities and visual relationships. Create conceptual logical and physical data models. Implement business and IT data requirements through new data strategies and designs across all data platforms (relational dimensional and NoSQL) and data tools (reporting visualization analytics and machine learning).
On any given day youll:
Work with business and application/solution teams to implement data strategies build data flows and develop conceptual/logical/physical data models. Perform data profiling/analysis activities. Identify the architecture infrastructure and interfaces to data sources tools supporting automated data loads security concerns analytic models and data visualization. Develop implement and support the usage of data visualization toolkit configuration deployment and usage. Create conceptual data model to identify key business entities and visualize their relationships. Communicate physical database designs DBA and explains features that may affect the physical data model. Present and communicate modeling results and recommendations to internal stakeholders. Troubleshoot and optimize data systems.
Heres what we expect
Requires Masters degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Information Systems Information Technology Management Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science. Position requires at least 2 years of experience with 1 data modeling principles/methods including conceptual logical and physical data models; 2 information systems and integration/design solutions; 3 dimensionally modeled data and data modeling tools; 4 utilizing SDLC methodologies.
