Job Description
We have a unique opportunity become available for a Full time Purchasing Officer to join our diverse passionate and outgoing team of professionals.
Reporting to the Financial Controller your duties include:
- To be responsible for the sourcing selection and purchase of goods and services as per required specifications ensuring quality and best prices criteria are met
- To comply with the Accor National Purchasing Procurement Policies
- Participate in inventory stocktakes in the stores and outlets at month end or when required by management
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Follow up any purchasing queries and inventory analysis
- Responsible for the replacement of inventory including price comparisons delivery time and follow up
- Ensure the quoted prices and supplier codes are kept up to date in the computer system
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in Purchasing within a hotel setting is an asset
- Relevant tertiary qualification desirable however not essential
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Excellent Microsoft office skills
- Experience with Sun Systems and Purchase Plus preferred
- Authentic customer service interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to make peoplecentric decisions.
- Interpersonal skill to deal with various business stakeholders in an effective and professional manner
- Previous warehouse / stores experience is preferred
- Proven accurate data entry record
- Physically able to lift and carry large stock
