Role and responsibilities

  • Act as a key interface between Trading IT and the business ensuring a strong understanding of the specificities of the U.S. gas and power trading market.

  • Proactively engage with trading teams to align technology solutions with business objectives and priorities identifying opportunities to add value.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define business and functional requirements ensuring alignment with the overall Trading IT strategy and system landscape.

  • Work closely with software and application engineers to design and deliver tailored solutions that enhance trading operations.

  • Prepare and execute comprehensive test plans ensuring compliance with user business and functional specifications as well as IT control frameworks.

  • Engage with business analysts and IT professionals across the Trading IT organization to drive consistency and efficiency in solution delivery.

  • Contribute to the strategic roadmap and resource planning of the delivery team ensuring IT initiatives effectively support the evolving needs of the trading business.


Qualifications :

  • Bachelor degree in Computer science Engineering Finance or Quantitative finance
  • 3 years of work experience in a utility or a commodity trading environment with knowledge of the energy markets 
  • Knowledge of fronttoback system flows and trade lifecycles including understanding of different physical and derivatives instruments and their respective risks and P&L measures
  •  Strong interest in IT and technology and experience of software engineering and application management 
  •  Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and to work under pressure good communication and organizational skills and attention to detail 

The salary range for this role is US$90000 US$140000
