Quality and Safety for Advanced Nursing Practice Faculty Part-time

We are seeking primarily Industry Professionals to share their knowledge and experience with undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of fields.   Courses meet once or twice a week for eight weeks. The facetoface interaction is blended with technology (such as online discussions and online assignments) for an enhanced learning environment. Commitment is on a course by course basis.

Course of instruction may include: 

NR584NP: Quality and Safety for Advanced Nursing Practice   This course examines quality management and safety principles for advanced nursing practice. Exploration of best practice techniques policies processes tools and skills will enable learners to apply evidence to engage in continuous quality improvement and advance healthcare outcomes and equity across diverse settings.

Responsibilities

• Develops and provides students with an approved Adtalem Global Education syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus and which includes the terminal course objectives.

• Organizes prepares and regularly revises and update all course materials.

• Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and courserelated software including Websites email and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students.

• Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students provide clarity and improve student learning.

• Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives assignment/examinations dates and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories.

• Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives.

• Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams and provide timely feedback to students.

• Completes other duties as assigned.

• Performs other duties as assigned

• Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications :

• MSN and DNP (or MSN and PhD in nursing) degrees are required
• A minimum of 12 years online teaching experience at the graduate level is required
• Must have an active unencumbered compact RN nursing license (multistate/compact preferred)
• Must be willing to obtain Illinois nursing license (if not already obtained) prior to teaching Required
• Online teaching experience highly preferred
• Must have subject matter expertise in the course of instruction
• Faculty must have excellent communication motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and nontraditional environment

Additional Information :

Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position Online:
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country the expected compensation rate for this position is between $715/Earned Credit Hour to $1950/Earned Credit Hour depending on the candidates education and experience.

Actual pay may be adjusted based on jobrelated factors permitted by law such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
