Job Description

Deloittes Cloud offering consists of engineers and technical thought leaders who build cloud solutions that help shape the future of global enterprises. Our Cloud team is at the heart of technical solutioning and at the leading edge of product development.

Work youll do

Architect and design servers network connectivity and software configurations for cloud computing infrastructures and applications with a focus on Solutions Architecture and Technical Business Development. Deliver hybrid solutions between Cloud and onpremises data centres; addressing key elements such as application dependencies & integration data transfer data residency IT Governance Risk & Compliance standards including cyber security.

Perform assessments and provide recommendations for migrating to the cloud. Develop the financial business case; supporting design and implementation of the cloud environment including landing zones.

Keep in mind the clients business needs and overall IT strategy when developing cloud solutions to deliver the best possible outcome for the client. Apply the AWS WellArchitectured framework to deliver consistent standardized and best practice solutions.

Develop and document technical designs for integration and implementation of new and existing cloud applications and systems.

Support the client facing teams to develop a comprehensive Point of View that will assist clients on their cloud transformation journey. Develop client proposals and contribute to RFx responses.

Proposals Business Development & Technical Sales Support:

  • Assist in proposal development and responses to RFx.
  • Review and refine peer proposals
  • Leverage business relationships for growth
  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings
  • Network at industry events and build strategic relationships
  • Engage past and present clients for future business development opportunities
  • Support business development managers in technical sales activties eg developing PoCs
  • Provide guidance during technical steerco meetings and risk management discussions
  • Research and resolve complex client challenges

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or technical / professional qualifications
  • Must have previous experience as a Lead Solution Architect at an enterprise level
  • Proven track record in cloud migrations development and design
  • Must have cloud professional level certification (e.g AWS Solutions Architect Professional)
  • 7 years of experience with planning architecting and implementing cloud environments
  • 3 5 years of experience in client facing and technical sales roles

 

Technical Requirements:

  • Cloud Solution Architecture (Multicloud Private Cloud Hybrid Cloud)
  • Cloud Networking Authentication & Authorization
  • Serverless Architecture & Monolithic Application Decoupling
  • Security by Design Principles & Defence in Depth Security Model
  • Compliance with International Standards (ISO 27001 NIST CIS Benchmarks PCI DSS POPIA GDPR)
  • Strong System Integration knowledge
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments
  • Understanding Cloud Native Services vs SaaS and ThirdParty services
  • Big Data and ETL Process Understanding
  • Project Management & Strategic Planning
