Job Description
AECOMs Transportation Division in Markham is seeking a talented and motivated Bridge Design Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Apply strong technical expertise to the design of bridges and transportation structures.
- Prepare preliminary and detailed designs for new bridges culverts retaining walls and other transportation structures.
- Develop rehabilitation designs for existing bridges culverts retaining walls and related structures.
- Coordinate design efforts across multiple disciplines to ensure project success.
- Communicate effectively with clients and participate in project meetings.
- Maintain a high standard of quality in all deliverables including reports specifications and project documentation.
- Work independently or collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
- Mentor and supervise junior team members ensuring highquality work.
- Promptly escalate project issues to the Project Manager and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 2 years of experience in the design of bridges and transportation structures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- P.Eng. eligibility in Ontario.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and structural design.
- Proficiency in Midas or other structural analysis and design software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
