About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 4 and 5 following relevant examination specifications.
- Plan and prepare highquality lessons that cater to a variety of musical interests and abilities ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
- Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources including instrumental instruction vocal training music theory composition and music technology to enhance student learning.
- Assess student progress provide constructive feedback and support individual learning journeys.
- Prepare students for GCSE and ALevel Music examinations ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
- Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum and resources ensuring it is inclusive and reflects the diverse musical interests of our students.
- Foster a love of music in students encouraging them to develop their musical skills creativity and appreciation of different musical genres and cultures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to music including school choir band orchestra and liturgical music.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in Music.
- Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3 4 and 5.
- Experience in preparing students for GCSE and ALevel Music examinations.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and musical skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all musical abilities.
- A passion for music and a commitment to fostering creativity and artistic expression within a Catholic ethos.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
