Job Description

Are you a creative and inspiring Music Teacher eager to foster musical talent in an Outstanding Boys Catholic School in Hillingdon We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our Music department starting April 2025. About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 4 and 5 following relevant examination specifications.
  • Plan and prepare highquality lessons that cater to a variety of musical interests and abilities ensuring all students are challenged and supported.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources including instrumental instruction vocal training music theory composition and music technology to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress provide constructive feedback and support individual learning journeys.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and ALevel Music examinations ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria.
  • Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum and resources ensuring it is inclusive and reflects the diverse musical interests of our students.
  • Foster a love of music in students encouraging them to develop their musical skills creativity and appreciation of different musical genres and cultures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to music including school choir band orchestra and liturgical music.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Music.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3 4 and 5.
  • Experience in preparing students for GCSE and ALevel Music examinations.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and musical skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all musical abilities.
  • A passion for music and a commitment to fostering creativity and artistic expression within a Catholic ethos.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
