Overview / Summary:

We are looking for a experienced Data Engineer to join the Compliance team of our client. This role will focus on developing and managing data solutions related to KYC (Know Your Customer) compliance monitoring and trade surveillance processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in data extraction transformation and integration within regulatory compliance frameworks specifically in KYC trade reconstruction and surveillance.


Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Extract transform and load (ETL) data from KYC tools trade surveillance systems and other compliance monitoring platforms. Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Support the development and maintenance of tools to link trade data to recordings ensuring seamless integration and efficient trade reconstruction processes.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis to support KYC and compliance monitoring activities including trade surveillance gifts and entertainment crossborder activities and regulatory risk tests.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance team to improve and implement new tools and processes that enhance the monitoring and reporting capabilities of compliance functions.
  • Assist in creating data pipelines to enable compliance reports and dashboards. Ensure that data is properly transformed and made available for key regulatory tasks and reports.
  • Ensure data solutions are aligned with regulatory requirements. Assist in the tracking and implementation of key regulatory changes affecting the Compliance function.
  • Work closely with various teams including IT Risk and Compliance to ensure datarelated requirements are met and that data systems are optimized for compliance needs.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and optimize data processes to improve the efficiency of compliance activities specifically related to KYC and trade surveillance.


Mandatory Requirements:

  • Ideally 3 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer
  • Proficiency in data engineering tools and languages (SQL Python etc..
  • Experience with ETL processes data modeling and database management
  • A background in data engineering or analytics within the Compliance or KYC space particularly in transforming and managing compliancerelated data.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with data analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with databases data warehouses and data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Ability to identify datadriven solutions for complex compliance challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail and problemsolving abilities.
  • Languages: Portuguese and English.
