Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities :
Monitor and maintain database health ensuring optimal performance availability and reliability.
Oversee the of scheduled jobs ETL processes and database maintenance tasks identifying and resolving any failures or performance issues.
Design develop and maintain data models schemas and database structures to support business and analytics needs.
Implement and manage database backup recovery and security policies to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Work closely with data engineers analysts and business teams to support data extraction transformation and reporting requirements.
Analyze and optimize SQL queries stored procedures and indexing strategies for improved performance.
Ensuring that data is synchronized correctly between databases and troubleshooting database issues identify root causes and apply necessary fixes or optimizations.
Maintain process documentation for database operations configurations and best practices.
Stay updated with emerging database technologies security standards and performance tuning techniques
Qualifications :
47 years of professional experience in database administration and data modeling.
Strong proficiency in SQL Server including SSMS SSIS.
Experience in database maintenance troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Handson experience with data modeling including designing schemas normalizing databases and optimizing data structures.
Monitor the performance of databases and tune them for optimal performance.
Knowledge of backup disaster recovery and security best practices.
Ability to monitor database jobs logs and error handling mechanisms to ensure seamless operations.
Responsible for creating backup strategies and ensuring that backups are performed regularly. They are also responsible for data recovery in the event of a data loss.
Exposure to Power BI and analytics workflows (nice to have).
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Good communication skills and ability to work with crossfunctional teams.
Bachelors degree in computer science IT Engineering or a related field.
