Job Description
Overview:
Wonderful Citrus Internship Program offers handson experience in the field with mentorship from experienced professionals. Our objective is to provide an educational paid internship experience at the undergraduate level that is directly related to the students goals to best prepare them for real world employment demands and responsibilities.
Heres what youll do:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting farm field supervisors with daily tasks and projects
- Assisting existing management staff in evaluating analyzing designing and maintaining all Farming Department data
- Assimilating and analyzing production and farmrelated data such as yield size and quality information
- Participate in planning and coordinating agricultural activities to optimize efficiency
- Assist in identifying and addressing fieldlevel maintenance issues related to irrigation systems
- Support management with scheduling and coordination of irrigation functions to ensure effective water management
Qualifications :
Heres what youll bring to the table:
- High School Diploma/General Education Diploma and currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Crop Science Soil Science Fruit Science Soil Production Agricultural Management Systems or related studies required.
- Demonstrate interest in Farming/ Pest Control Operations.
- Must have a Junior or Senior college academic level with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
- Must have started core concentration classes in related field
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel Access Word etc.
- Must have excellent communication skillsverbal and written
- High attention to detail
- Team oriented and have passion for learning
Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour.
