Job Overview:
The Virginia Department of Transportations Information Technology Division is seeking a highly skilled Lead AI Developer UI Strategy mainly crafting and integrating UI components through React.js and Angular methodologies with AI systems. Youll also play an integral role in optimizing frontend performance and maintaining comprehensive documentation for our frontend codebase.
Responsibilities:
- Lead UI development team to support design develop and deploy AI models that drive business value and innovation.
- Lead in creation and implementation of UI design layer strategies that align with the organizations goals and objectives.
- Ability to use advanced mathematical modeling statistical analysis and optimization techniques to gather and analyze data identifying problems and developing solutions to improve efficiency in prompts.
- Developing and implementing UI components using React.js and/or Angular
- Integrate AI agents and autonomous systems for decisionmaking workflow automation and task delegation.
- Collaborating with crossfunctional teams (Agentic Data engineers) to design and deliver new features.
- Building reusable components and frontend libraries for future use
- Translating designs and wireframes into highquality code
- Optimizing components for maximum performance across various web browsers
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues to ensure smooth user experiences
- Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency
Qualifications:
- Driving AI initiatives fostering innovation and leading a multifunctional team of AI Scientists and AI Engineers
- Ability to Integrate ReactJS with deck.gl
- Building GIS enabled visualizations using Azure Maps
- Expertise in Azure App Services Azure ML Studio WS Power BI Azure Function Apps Azure Container Apps Azure API Management
- Experience implementing Azure Machine Learning Azure Computer Vision Azure Video Indexer Azure OpenAI models Azure Media Services Azure AI Search
- Ability to work with large data sets to improve performance efficiency.
- Develop visual representations of agent states decisions and actions to help users comprehend and trust agentic technology.
- Design forms and tools for collecting data from experiment participants ensuring data integrity and ease of use.
- Develop interfaces that facilitate interaction between humans and automated systems allowing for human oversight and intervention in humanintheloop processes.
- Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js Axios React Router Redux etc.
- Strong JavaScript HTML5 and CSS3 skills
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms such as JSON Web Tokens
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Understanding of frontend build tools and pipelines
- Strong leadership excellent problemsolving and communication skills
- Proven experience in leading projects and teams including the mentorship of AI engineers
- The ability to engage in critical evaluation of information hypothesis testing and scenario analysis.
- Flexibility in learning and adopting new technologies methodologies and tools to stay at the forefront of AI trends.
