Job Brief
A Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for planning implementing managing monitoring and upgrading security measures to protect the organizations data systems and networks. They ensure that the organizations infrastructure is secure from cyberattacks and unauthorized access.
Responsibilities
Security Measures: Plan implement manage monitor and upgrade security measures for the protection of the organizations data systems and networks.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve security and network problems.
Incident Response: Respond to all system and/or network security breaches.
Security Controls: Ensure that the organizations data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls.
Change Management: Participate in the change management process.
Vulnerability Assessment: Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities.
Administrative Tasks: Perform daily administrative tasks reporting and communication with relevant departments.
Education: A degree in Computer Science IT Systems Engineering or a related qualification.
Experience: At least 2 years of work experience with incident detection incident response and forensics.
Skills: Proficiency in Python C Java Ruby Node Go and/or PowerShell. Experience with Firewalls VPN Data Loss Prevention IDS/IPS WebProxy and Security Audits.
Attributes: Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment strong attention to detail analytical mind and outstanding problemsolving skills.
