Job Description

Job Title: Purchasing Specialist Fabricated Components

Job Description:

We are seeking a detailoriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist Fabricated Components to manage the sourcing and procurement of fabricated materials from external suppliers. This role focuses on ensuring highquality standards timely deliveries and cost optimization. The Purchasing Specialist will work closely with engineering and production teams to select and manage reliable suppliers ensuring smooth and efficient procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Identification: Research and assess potential vendors for fabricated components evaluating factors such as quality production capacity and pricing.

  • Specification Development: Collaborate with engineering teams to develop detailed specifications for parts ensuring material requirements and tolerances are accurately defined.

  • Bid Management: Request quotes from suppliers analyze proposals and negotiate favorable pricing and delivery terms.

  • Order Management: Place and track purchase orders ensuring goods are delivered on schedule and meet required specifications.

  • Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining highquality standards and meeting delivery timelines.

  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers to ensure consistency in quality timely responses and reliable service.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing industrial or technical goods.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent negotiation contract management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
