Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (Python and Bash) to join our team. Y ou will be responsible for designing implementing and managing cloud infrastructure (primarily on AWS) infrastructureascode (Terraform or other IaC frameworks) and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
Responsibilties:
- Architect implement and maintain secure and scalable AWS environments for hosting SaaS applications.
- Use Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design cloudnative solutions that meet performance reliability and security requirements.
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines that automate testing integration and deployment across multiple environments.
- Continuously optimize workflows for faster more reliable releases.
- Implement and manage security best practices (e.g. encryption network segmentation identity and access management).
- Work closely with compliance teams to ensure alignment with ISO 27001
- Automate security checks and compliance audits within the deployment pipeline.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions to track system performance and identify issues proactively.
- Configure and maintain alerting mechanisms to ensure rapid incident response and resolution.
- Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to handle growing data and user needs.
- Build faulttolerant systems and implement disaster recovery strategies for critical services.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams including backend frontend and data engineering to ensure seamless code integration and deployment.
- Share DevOps best practices and mentor engineers to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Keep uptodate with emerging DevOps tools trends and best practices.
- Evaluate recommend and implement new technologies to streamline processes and improve platform capabilities.
Requirements
- 5 years of DevOps or related engineering experience.
- Expertise in AWS services (EC2 S3 RDS Lambda IAM etc. and best practices for production environments.
- Strong proficiency with Terraform or other InfrastructureasCode tools (CloudFormation Pulumi etc..
- Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions).
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix system administration and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of security best practices (network security encryption key management) and compliance standards (ISO 27001 SOC 2 GDPR).
- Proficiency with containerization (Docker ECS EKS or Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
- Strong automation mindset with experience in scripting languages (Python Bash etc..
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and provide rootcause analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in startups or highgrowth SaaS companies.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Datadog Prometheus Grafana or similar).
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible Chef Puppet).
- Knowledge of AI/ML pipelines or NLPbased solutions is a plus.
- Exposure to enterprise HR tech solutions is a plus.
- Prior experience in distributed remote engineering teams.
