What Youll Do
Burwood Group is seeking an AV Engineer for a client in Rosemont IL that will be responsible for managing and maintaining AV technology across shared spaces conference rooms and offices. Key responsibilities include an advanced working knowledge of Cisco Polycom Logitech and Microsoft Teams video conferencing endpoints codecs cabling schematics and thirdparty conferencing solutions using soft codecs. The ideal candidate has strong advanced troubleshooting abilities and the capability to develop effective solutions or workarounds when resolving technical issues. Excellent white glove service skills are essential along with the ability to remain calm professional and customerfocused when addressing support requests.
Maintain and update a comprehensive database of all AV hardware software manufacturer support contacts and approved resale vendors.
Oversee the integration of AV systems with both wired and wireless network components ensuring seamless compatibility with collaboration platforms such as Webex Webex Teams Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
Manage and implement modifications to inroom control systems and related components.
Configure and deploy audio and video equipment for conference rooms according to design specifications.
Conduct routine operational and preventive maintenance checks on all AV systems and conference room technology. Perform necessary upgrades repairs and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality.
Provide technical support and user training on AV technologies as needed.
Assess and recommend enhancements to AV systems identifying opportunities for improved performance and efficiency.
Install configure and troubleshoot audio and video conferencing systems.
Collaborate with manufacturers developers engineers and project managers to resolve issues related to conferencing systems.
Engage with vendors and support teams for incident resolution and to stay informed about new technology offerings and best practices.
Qualifications :
Who You Are
5 years of experience experience in implementing and managing highquality AV solutions within enterprise environments.
Handson experience with basic AV installation including pulling and terminating CAT 5/6 cables soldering and installing LED displays projectors and microphones.
Ability to interpret blueprints and audio/video signal flow diagrams for system design and troubleshooting.
Proven ability to provide highquality white glove service while also training others developing instructional materials and creating detailed supporting documentation.
