You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to join our clients data transformation journey. The organization is currently transitioning from multiple legacy systems to a centralized data repository based on Snowflake with a comprehensive data catalog maintained in Collibra. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing developing and maintaining data models that facilitate seamless data integration accessibility and governance within this modernized infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop scalable and efficient data models to support the transition to Snowflake.
Collaborate with data architects data engineers and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into optimal data structures.
Ensure that data models align with organizational data governance policies and Collibra catalog standards.
Analyze legacy systems and define data migration strategies to ensure data integrity and consistency.
Maintain documentation of data models definitions relationships and metadata within Collibra.
Optimize data models for performance and scalability within Snowflake.
Participate in data quality assessments and contribute to establishing best practices for data management.
Provide expertise in resolving datarelated issues and recommend improvements.
Work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure that data models meet business objectives and compliance requirements.
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications:
Relevant professional experience in data modeling data architecture or related fields. Formal education in Computer Science Information Systems Data Science.
Proven experience in data modeling particularly within Snowflake environments.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts dimensional modeling and relational databases.
Experience with Collibra or similar data catalog tools.
Proficiency in SQL and data modeling tools (e.g. ER/Studio ERwin or similar).
Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices.
Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within crossfunctional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in data migration from legacy systems to modern data platforms.
Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance standards.
Experience with Agile methodologies and working in dynamic fastpaced environments.
Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL processes.
