AI/ML Engineer VCBacked Fintech Startup
Location: Remote (SF or LA Preferred) Compensation: $170000$220000 Startup Stage: Seed

What Will You Do
- Design build and deploy AI/MLdriven financial automation and chatbotbased client solutions
- Optimize retrieval pipelines for RAG architectures and enhance LLM prompting techniques including Tree of Thoughts Constitutional AI and agent protocols
- Implement AI agents using LangChain AutoGen or CrewAI to create intelligent financial decisionmaking tools
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate AI models into a production financial services platform
- Work in a fastpaced highownership environment where you drive technical decisions
What Will You Need
MustHave:
- Degree in Computer Science AI/ML or related field
- Three or more years in software engineering with at least one year of handson experience with modern LLMs (Claude GPT4 Llama 3 or three or more years in AI/ML
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript
- Startup experience preferably at a VCbacked tech startup to demonstrate initiative and comfort with uncertainty
- Ability to work startup hours 50 to 60 per week) and sync with the Taiwan team daily at approximately 5 PM PT
Strongly Preferred:
- Computer science degree from a topranked university such as IIT in India
- LLM or chatbot experience and knowledge of RAG architectures
- Experience in multimodal AI systems involving text structured data and numerical data
- Built AI agents with LangChain AutoGen or CrewAI
- Worked at a highgrowth VCbacked startup or a company with a FAANGlevel hiring bar
- Experience in modern fintech
