Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled and detailoriented Litigation Paralegal to join their legal team. The Litigation Paralegal will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys with case management document preparation and client communication. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced legal environment.

This is a 4 months contract/temporary role to cover a Medical Leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file pleadings motions and legal notices in accordance with court procedures.
  • Proofread finalize and efile legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist attorneys in drafting interrogatories and requests for production.
  • Schedule and coordinate depositions ensuring all necessary arrangements are made.
  • Gather discovery materials review case files and prepare exhibits for hearings and trials.
  • Communicate professionally with opposing counsel clients court personnel medical professionals and other relevant parties.
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation as needed.
  • Organize and maintain case files ensuring easy access to necessary documents.
  • Meet with clients attorneys and other professionals to discuss case details and provide necessary updates.

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.
  • Paralegal certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation support or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with state and federal court filing procedures.
