Exciting times here at Verve as our compliance department is expanding and were looking for some fabulous experienced compliance people to join us.
Hopefully you know a little about Verve already and how we like to approach compliance differently to the traditional way in supporting financial advice firms. You can read more about this in our latest whitepaperas well as watching our CEO talk about it in this webinar.
Given that we approach compliance differently itll come as no surprise that were approaching our recruitment to building out the team differently too. We believe that there are different types of compliance folk (all of them are wonderful of course!:
1. Those that are very relationship focused.They want to work closely with advice firms chatting through the regulations and their impact and helping coach them through what needs doing so they can sleep easily at night.
2. Those that are very detail focused.They love getting their teeth stuck into audits or file checks or regulatory papers or writing technical briefs.They have a way of spotting the things others might miss and are brilliant at written communications to bring the feedback and reviews to life.
Different roles same career potential
Because we think these skill sets are so different we have carved out our compliance roles to reflect this. So we dont expect our consultants to be on the road seeing firms and also spending a day doing file reviews; thats just not efficient or effective for the client or for Verve.
Instead we have created an overall department where everyone is able to focus on their natural skills and passions and we combine these to bring the overall compliance support for our firms to life. Each person still has their own career paths and growth planned out and so you can truly become a master of your own trade.
At this stage were looking forat least one person foreach of these roles but are also open minded; as were in such a growth phase if we find more than one of the perfect fits then were open to bringing in more. We are looking for:
