Job Description

About the Opportunity

Join the Student and Academic Services Exams and Progression team. You will be providing operational and administrative support to academic elements and students as part of a centralised team in areas including exam management grade publication and student academic progression processes as well as assessment applications. You will be responsible for:

  • Building strong client relationships with academic and administrative staff in the Schools in order to deliver high quality exam grade and academic progression services.
  • Working autonomously within your role and regularly using advanced systems to resolve complex problems for clients.
  • Delivering exam assessment application academic progression and grade related services for the university within universityagreed timeframes and ensuring these services are efficient and effective and are aligned with the universitys policies and strategic goals.
  • Proactively identifying ways to improve streamline and automate processes to continuously improve the student experience.
  • Working in a fastpaced environment where there is a big focus on teamwork and collaboration. The team are motivated and pull together to get the job done.

About you

  • You possess a degree plus subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • You thrive when working under pressure enjoy dealing with many different components and competing deadlines.
  • You are agile in your work approach and are efficient with using the tools and systems on hand to assist you to work smarter.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of advanced computer systems and the ability to use and manipulate data in software packages including Office365 suite and databases.
  • Pay high attention to detail and have highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills including the ability to exercise initiative discretion and judgement on complex and sensitive issues is essential to the success of the role.
  • You will also possess the ability to interpret and apply policies procedures and systems consistently together with high level analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Experience with Databee Exams Manager and PeopleSoft Student System will be highly regarded but not essential.

Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights for the duration of this appointment and may be subject to a National criminal history check.

This is a continuing opportunity based at the Gold Coast. As Griffith is a multisite University you may be required to work across other locations.

HEW 6 Salary Base range $89603.41 $95575.33 17 super. Full package range $104835.99 $111823.14.
