Job Description
This is a remote position.
Own The Space is building an ambitious campaign hub to support a variety of critical initiatives on Palestine. It is working on issues ranging from political prisoners to the bias in digital platforms and using culture to shift narratives. The Palestine Hub will deliver largescale creative interventions breakthrough social content and secure toptier media to shift the debate in a number of key areas.
We are looking for a highlymotivated individuals with skills in one or more of the following: campaigns media and communications social media (content creation and community management) research project management design editing and organising for freelance and/or fixedterm employee contracts.

About Own The Space
Own The Space was founded in 2022 to support individuals and groups seeking to have a positive impact in the world. Its directors have led campaigns for Led By Donkeys The Syria Campaign Greenpeace and many other organisations on issues such as political accountability climate change and human rights.

- Creative: You know making change is hard especially when confronting the challenges in this campaign space. You will never stop thinking of ideas and tactics to break through these barriers
- Impact driven: You have a focus on impact constantly assessing the most effective deployment of limited resources. You re motivated by the difference your efforts make
- A doer: You work best when part of a small collaborative team. You think beyond the limits of your current role spot opportunities and make things happen. You take risks are unafraid of failure and never stop generating ideas
- A builder: You build relationships with those in your team and your sector. You can bring people together around an idea
- A systems thinker: You think in terms of systems and processes and build effective ways of working
- Profiency in spoken Levantine Arabic is an asset but not a prerequisite.
Benefits
- This role a fulltime role being offered on a one year fixedterm contract or as a freelance contractor
- Salary is comparable with other international campaign organisations. Own The Space has fixed rates for different levels of experience to keep compensation at our organisation as fair and equitable as possible. For this reason we don t negotiate on salaries as data shows this leads to pay inequality.
- Preference given to UK MENA European and EST time zones.
